Touch Sensing and Processing Summer School 2024
Compared to vision or hearing, touch is a poorly understood sensing modality. Thanks to recent advances in hardware development, it will soon be possible to digitize touch at scale. This creates important opportunities for both basic research and applications, such as robotics. In this context, it is increasingly important the role of Touch Processing – the science of making sense of touch through the use of machine learning.
The Touch Sensing and Processing Summer School (TSPSS) aims to provide a stimulating opportunity for young researchers and Ph.D. students to participate and benefit from direct interaction and discussions with world leaders in touch sensing and processing. Participants will also have the possibility to present the results of their research, and to interact with their scientific peers, in an informal and constructive environment.

Application
The Premier year of summer school will be open for 40 pre-selected researchers. For this year, the organizing committee decided to provide financial support to our participants by covering the full cost of lodging and meals at the venue for the entire five-day event.
Applications are now Closed
Location
All participants, including speakers, at TSPSS 2024 will be hosted at the Jugendgästehaus Liebethal just outside of Dresden, from 1-6 September 2024.
